Why Fine Tune Equipment?

There are many reasons for fine tuning/ maintenance heating and air conditioning equipment, such as energy conservation, cost effectiveness, improved performance, prevent failures, and equipment longevity.
Fine tuned equipment will operate at peak efficiency, and this will save money for customer and having greener environment.
Furnaces/Boilers are the largest user of gas and air conditioning units are the largest users of electricity in your homes. When heating and air conditioning units are operating at peak efficiency, the percentage of power consumption is reduced by sometimes as much as 25%. Several tests have proven that nine of ten heating and air conditioning units are operating at a reduced efficiency that is between 10% and 40% of their rating.

Some of the key points of our cooling maintenance package are:

  • Inspected, adjusted and lubricated of Indoor Blower Assembly.
  • Determined temperature drop across the indoor coil.
  • Proper drainage verified.
  • Adequate air flow verified.
  • Refrigerant level measured and verified.
  • Condenser coil (outdoor coil) cleaned.
  • Compressor condition verified.

Some tips for you on using your Air Conditioner:

  • Clear furniture, drapes, and other obstructions away from air conditioning vents and return air grills.
  • Weather-strip doors and windows.
  • Keep windows closed and draperies, blinds, and shades drawn.
  • Limit heat and humidity producing tasks like cooking, mopping, dishwashing, laundry and showering for early morning or night time.
  • Examine the unit’s air filters once a month and clean or replace them when necessary, because dusty filters reduce airflow and consume excess energy.
  • Keep the thermostat setting as high as you can. For every degree you raise your thermostat above 24, you can save about %5 on our air conditioning bill.
  • Turn off your unnecessary lights. Much of the energy from a light bulb is heat which can heat a room by several degrees.
  • Some people think that by setting thermostat to 10 degree instead of 20 degree, it will get colder faster. This is not true; it will not cool faster, it will cool to a lower temperature than necessary, thereby wasting energy. Another potential problem is the compressor could fail, due to liquid slugging.
